More Passengers Continue To Return To UK.

The UK Border Agency has announced that UK airports have continued to receive more passengers, and more travellers are continuing to return to the UK by ferry or rail.

The agency indicated that at peak times there will be a large number of passengers coming through air and sea ports.

According to them ‘The UK Border Agency is working with ports, airports, airlines and ferry companies to ensure passengers can pass quickly through the border. We are manning as many passport desks as possible’.

The agency continued by saying that, all arrivals will undergo usual passport, and where appropriate customs, checks. “We are doing everything possible to speed the onward journey of travellers, however we ask that passengers accept that there may be some queues, which we will try to keep to a minimum”.
These explanations are necessary in the wake of the coming to end of the volcano saga. Meanwhile most airlines are expected to apply forcompensation from national governments and the EU, to cover costs estimated to be upto 1 Billion pounds.
