Three people have been arrested as part of an investigation by UKBA into the supply of fake documents to aid illegal working.
Officers from the criminal and financial investigation team executed warrants at addresses in Luton, Teddington and Leatherhead. They arrested 3 men on suspicion of conspiring to supply counterfeit documents.
They are now being questioned by investigators at a police station in London.
Documents, mobile phones and other items were also seized from the addresses and will now be analysed.
Senior investigating officer Andy Shortland, West London criminal and financial investigation team, UK Border Agency said:
‘We have today arrested three men as part of a major investigation into the supply of false documents to allow people to work in the UK illegally.
‘We have seized mobile phones, documents and other material from these addresses and they will now be examined as part of our investigation.’
The UK Border Agency’s West London criminal and financial investigation team is a specialist unit of police officers seconded from the Metropolitan Police working alongside warranted UK Border Agency officers to investigate organised immigration crime.
